Good heavens, they’re adorable.
I know, I know…I’ve got some ‘splainin to do. I haven’t blogged in 14 years (give or take), but I promise I’m still alive. It’s been a VERY busy few months for me, both personally and professionally. And while I really love blogging and showing off my gorgeous muses to the world, when I start drowning in work, blogging is the first thing that goes. In the next few weeks, I will attempt to catch up a bit. In the mean time, I’ll share a few images from Brittany and John’s elegant wedding on the Bay at Maryland’s Herrington Harbour.
Brittany is the sister of some past-clients-turned-very-dear-friends of mine, Tony and Casey. Brittany is this incredible hybrid of sweetness, elegance, tomboyish yet girly, low-maintenance but with a great sense of style, smart but also funny…she’s just an all-around great girl. John is a tough-guy police officer who looks like he spends 75% of his life with a barbell in his hands, yet he’s incredibly sweet, kind, funny, intelligent, and crazy about his girl. I have really, really, really loved getting to know them. Their wedding day was a perfect representation of who they are. Touches of elegance and sophistication blended with a comfortable backdrop of natural surroundings and casual enough atmosphere where their guests were free to have fun and not take themselves too seriously. It was perfection.
The following is quite possibly one of my most favorite images I have ever taken. This tiny stud-muffin is Emmerson, Brittany’s nephew. His lovely mama, Casey (one of the best clients I’ve EVER been blessed to work with) had just given him a kiss on the cheek. This was his reaction. EPIC.
Brittany’s parents were celebrating their own anniversary while watching their little girl get married. <3
Brittany and John, I am so ridiculously happy that you two found each other. I hope your honeymoon in Turks is absolutely gorgeous. You know it’s not too late to get a ticket for your favorite destination photographer to come along, right? <wink wink> I wish you both the best of happiness and blessings in your marriage, and I hope to see you both very soon.
